Snacking on Langoustines and fried seafood. What looks like onion rings is calamari, world’s softest calamari – crispy on the outside, and melt in your mouth inside. What looks like chips is chips. This was the Oyster Shed near the Talisker distillery. A seemingly middle of nowhere tiny little shack.
Our best experience with fish and chips during the Scotland trip. This was Dulse & Brose at Portree after hiking the Old Man of Storr trail. Well deserved calories.
Cullen Skink at the Seafood Shack, a tiny little restaurant in Broadford. Cullen Skink is a classic seafood stew. They said they made it with chicken stock, seafood, cream, potatoes and celery. This was pre-lunch on our way to Armadale Ferry from where we were scheduled to catch the ferry to Mallaig later that afternoon. Our view is the Inner Sound.
