Lean To Coffee, the cutest little coffee shop

Lean To Coffee is not just cute, they serve delicious coffee. Scotland, in addition to scotch, appears to be obsessed with coffee. Typically, vacation coffee is the kind that builds character – bitter, over-roasted, black liquid that you drink for the caffeine and not for the taste. No so in Scotland. Nearly every cup was acceptable, some even delicious.

At the time, they were serving Birch Coffee, a coffee we had first sampled in Inverness. We had liked it a lot. Here, a friend of the owner in Portree was roasting especially for them.
They are operating from a family croft, located in the village of Ashaig, Isle of Skye. If you stand at the fence, you see the the Inner Sound.
