Hermitage woods, Perthshire

Autumn is the best time to visit Perthshire…..

One of the 30 bears (and 32 cubs) in the Bear’s Big Adventure Trail 2026 (link) across Perth and Kinross. The bear was perched next to the Ossian’s Hall in the Hermitage Woods. The art is titled Aurora Ursa and the artist is Lorraine Ward. The colors of the bear represent the sunrises and sunsets in Perthshire. In case you are wondering, there are no bear in Scotland today, they were hunted to extinction over a 1000 years ago.
