Spending our time untethering the mind, getting the fidgets out, exploring the in-between ideas, and learning kintsugi.

Did someone say horse sashimi?

with one comment

Sora An restaurant was at the footsteps of our AirBnB. We went in for a bento lunch and ended up being repeat customers.

Super lean horse sashimi served with grated ginger and minced garlic

Mustard with sesame sauce, salmon and jellied vegetables

Smoked radish

Fried japanese yam

Thinly sliced pork with kimchi, a very teppenyaki style appetizer

Owner, sommelier and cook. He has a passion for the dried vegetables that he dries daily at the restaurant and sourcing a particular variety of pig.

Hand made soba and yam flour noodles and sesame sauce

The restaurant is lovely. Low key, and a place for friends to meet. One of the servers was particularly friendly and went out of her way to make us comfortable.

Our sweet and friendly server

And yes, there is a kimono rental shop on Takeshita street

From another meal…

Appetizer – fresh made tofu, okra with sesame sauce and snail
